Controlling Gel

ATTRACT – RB is a highly effective pheromone-based gel formulation designed for the management of Rhinoceros Beetle (Oryctes rhinoceros). It attracts adult beetles and helps in reducing their population, thereby minimizing damage to palm crops in an eco-friendly and targeted manner.

No traps are required for application.

Target Pests Rhinoceros Beetle (Oryctes rhinoceros)
Active Ingredient Ethyl 4-Methyl Octanoate
Recommended Crops Coconut, Oil Palm, Date Palm and other palm species
Composition Rhinoceros beetle attractant pheromone blend, aggregation compounds, and other excipients
Dosage & Application
  • Open the pouch and mix thoroughly in a container.
  • Add 7–10 ml of approved insecticide (optional, e.g., Fipronil 5% SC) for enhanced control.
  • Mix well to form a uniform gel formulation.
  • Apply 1–2 g small dollops near crown region, leaf axils, or compost-rich areas.
  • Use 1–2 dollops per palm tree
Time of Application Preventive stage and early infestation stage
Repeat Application Every 30–45 days or depending on infestation level
