Funnel Trap

Funnel trap, as the name suggests, is a funnel, covered at the top by a canopy that holds the pheromone dispenser basket, with radial openings all around for entry of the moths. A transparent plastic bag is attached to the lower end of the funnel which should be cleaned and replaced occasionally, depending on the insect catch rate.
Materials of Construction UV Stabilized Plastic Polymer.
Dimensions 14 cms (Dia) x 13 cms (H) with lure basket, 13 cms (Dia) x 9 cms (H) without lure basket, but with septa / vial fixture.
Colour Yellow or customized colour.
Effective life span in the field Multiple seasons (subject to weather conditions).
Target Crops & Pests Spodoptera litura (Oriental Leaf Worm) in Cotton, Maize, Jute, etc. Helicoverpa armigera (Cotton Boll Worm) in Chilli, Okra,  etc. and Spodoptera frugiperda (Fall Armyworm) in Maize, Sweet Corn, etc.
How it works Moths attracted by the pheromone kept under the canopy, enter the funnel, hit the sides while in flight and drop down into the transparent plastic bag attached to the lower end of the funnel and get killed.
Packing
  • 40 or 60 traps along with hangers are packed in one card board carton.
Storage/Safety/Disposal precautions:
  • Store away from sunlight until the actual moment of placing in the field.
  • Avoid dropping from heights on to hard surfaces to prevent breakage.
  • Do not use if the Funnel base or canopy is broken.
  • Keep away from fire and heat of 60 degrees celsius plus temperature.
  • Mode of disposal and precautions to be identical to those followed while disposing of any regular plastic polymer product.
